The following data provides some basic information about the current simulation to date (i.e. July 14th, 2008). We released 8 application versions: three on Linux and five on Windows and Linux. Each version is simulating Hodgkin-Huxley neurons for 100 milliseconds and with a timestep of 5 milliseconds. Each neuron has soma and one dendritic segment. More information about the neuron properties can be found in the main_boinc.cpp file under neuron_generator_unique() function. Neuronal data is stored in embedded databases.

The table presents data about each application version and information about the neurons simulated.
106.3 billion neurons have been stored in 191.25 TB of storage.

The figure presents the number of simulated neurons. Starting with version 1.03, all the neurons
have been generated on the client side. That translated into large processing figures.

The figure presents the size of the workunit for each application version. Versions 1.03 to 1.08 have a 25k workunit.

The figure presents the size of the data set for each application version. Size is in Mb.
Version 1.08 of the application processed the largest data set.
